Giant Pumpkins

Must add this tidbit from today's local paper: the winner of the giant pumpkin contest weighed in at 1800pounds / 800kg! The runners-up are hollowed out and take part in a boat race - prizes for rowing and motorized division. After the race they're hauled away for compost.
